On Monday, the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi met in New Delhi, speculating that the govt could take some choices on Jammu and Kashmir.
Union home minister Amit Shah and law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad were the first to reach the residence of the prime minister, where the conference is taking place, officials said.
It is also anticipated that a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, the largest decisionmaking body in the country, and another meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs will be held independently, they said.
